Blue Mountains LBP These two talented people make such perfectly dreamy music. Simply constructed but wonderfully whimsical and experimental. I’ve had this on repeat for days now. Favorite track: The Coyote and the Badger.

ZeCoop Such an amazing band! Completely unique and fun, but with a serious undertone, taking on issues. One of my favorites! Favorite track: Looking in the Shadows.

Note 11/2/21: We just received word that Japan post is suspending small packages to the USA (and maybe some other countries), so until further notice we cannot ship there. Hopefully, that'll change soon!

Cassette version of our first album, Santa Dharma, released earlier this year. We made these (with love) in our home studio in Tokyo, in the spirit of DIY. Cassettes are sparkly red with trippy art based on the design by artist Glenda Torrado.

As a special thank you, we will include some "Infinite Presence" incense, which smells reminiscent of a Japanese temple. Price includes shipping worldwide, but your patience is appreciated since COVID has affected the postal system here in Japan and abroad.

Includes unlimited streaming of Santa Dharma via the free Bandcamp app, plus high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more.

Rolled up in our spaceship, what did we see? Mass of countries, snarling their teeth Reverse the universe, reverse the universe, Reverse the universe, it’s sick Acting like a bunch of sheep Their hate runs so deep Stacks of money want to keep Reverse the universe, reverse the universe Tried to pull the lever, but it was stuck Too many Earthlings, don’t give a fuck Pulled too hard, electricity charged Reverse the universe, reverse the universe, Reverse the universe, it’s sick Then cheeto was president We deeply regret it Tried to make things better… And try out our new space sweaters, Our new space cheddars, Our new space shredders, Reverse! Reverse the universe, it’s dead.

Dreams of cactus, Facebook status, popsicles, rabbit holes Bowls, baby deer, velvet beards, and you’re here Five more minutes In that minute of snooze, wear another pair of shoes Walk a desert broken where we thought there was an ocean Five more minutes Lazy caterpillar mornings Make the coffee and back to the cocoon We are the sun and the moon
5.
Hello new friend I hope we’ll be together to the end Let’s go down this tunnel There’s got to be some light Even on this cloudy, starry night Did you eat buttered vegetables from a bag tossed at a campsite? That’s cool, that’s cool! Dear friend We can be present to the end Even if we go our separate ways Won’t forget our adventure today I’ll send you postcards from LA Looking at the moon, dreaming of change soon, change soon, change soon. Dear friend I know some people judge I don’t mind, no grudge Difference is beauty They can’t see through me, But I see into you Hope in a sky turned blue, a cloud A tree, a shoe Shadow, sunset, stream Cactus, mango, tangerine Dear friend

Radio Cars 03:23
In my next life what will I be A dog, a cow, a honeybee? I’ll look for you in the sky and the trees The moon is our streetlight when the world resets In my next life I won’t forget Have I found my dharma yet? I didn’t used to fear mistakes Felt like nothing could ever break Now I spend too much time in the future Life’s my brain’s moving picture   In our next life what will we be A dog, a cow, a honeybee? I’ll look for you in the sky and the trees And when I think about the past Everything good went away too fast Tsunamis, recession, depression all last Every creature dies alone Becomes dust, air, sea foam Or maybe we are stars Dripping music into radio cars

Chameleons and crickets, the trees are our pickets Cactus skyscraper gives us blossom tickets To a phenomenon we call the sky Buddha frog disappeared To another plane without fear I wonder why Believe in free New cult of cats rolled out their doormats In our yard full of mongoose, jackfruits, and bats They own the porch and probably, silly hats! Sangha’s the one they hail Known for her triangle tail I wonder why Believe in free
8.
Soul’s a wild cat So hard to catch Stuffed in like a match When I unlatch, hold me What is a home When you’ve always roamed Eating stardust and stoned? Maybe it’s right under my nose. Home, home Floating in a concrete gray sea Hope, hope Treasure locked away with a key Raw, raw Memories of a place you didn’t need Dig, plant A barren land that grows a fear seed Never gonna find it that way, you’ve been looking in the shadows Mind once was pure, Now insecure Delusional and sure Eating clouds might be a cure Maps on a wall Faded and small Lines and colors call Maybe if I fall, I’m free Breathe, breathe Tree shedding all your pretty leaves Whole, whole You’re letting go of the things you didn’t need Time, time Pulls away at your tethered soul Smoke, smoke Curls in lungs to fill up all the holes Never gonna find it that way, you’ve been looking in the shadows
9.
You've crossed over to another timeline There the fireflies are all forming a line Dream, no don't dream Live, I know you know how Clouds drag sweet memories along the bright blue Soft like dreamy cotton, they carry you too Wait, no don't wait Enjoy, that'll bring me joy You're the stars in another timeline I'm a nearby planet, and we're doing just fine

about

Santa Dharma Tokyo, Japan

Santa Dharma is a Tokyo-based experimental pop duo formed in 2012 after a chance meeting in a tiny hookah bar. Their nostalgia-infused DIY sound mixes 80s toy synthesizers, fuzzy electric ukulele, retro drum machines, and field recordings as a backdrop for lyrics about reincarnation and space travelers. They create an energetic live electro sound without the use of computers. ... more
